Christina Rainville is an award-winning criminal defense attorney, who was honored by the American Bar Association with the national Pro Bono Publico Award, for her post-trial representation of a young woman convicted of murder.   The New York Times described Ms. Rainville’s “relentless” representation of Ms. Lambert in a front-page news story.

Ms. Rainville has tried over 25 criminal jury trials, including major felonies such as homicide, sexual assaults of children, and financial fraud, as well as simple misdemeanors.  She successfully argued a landmark criminal case before the United States Supreme Court, and has successfully argued many criminal appeals in the Vermont Supreme Court.  Ms. Rainville also has extensive experience representing parties in complex financial fraud and securities fraud cases.

Criminal law requires in-depth knowledge both of the law and of the criminal justice system.  Ms. Rainville served as the Chief Deputy States Attorney for Bennington County, Vermont from 2007-2015, and has extensive experience in criminal cases from the earliest stages of an investigation through trial and appeal.
